Using BaxterDog Library

Friendly guidance for teachers, schools, and rescue partners using Baxter's Second Chance classroom materials.

For teachers

  • Sign in with your school email when your district has BaxterDog Library access.
  • Open your Dashboard to see resource kits and classroom materials assigned to you.
  • Use Browse Library to search by grade, resource type, or delivery format (flipbook, downloads, teacher/student materials).
  • Open a resource to view the flipbook, download teacher guides, or print student activities.

For school administrators

  • Make sure teachers sign in with an approved school email address.
  • Share the Library login page and encourage staff to use Request Access if materials are missing.
  • If your school recently received access, allow a short time for domain or organization approval to apply.
  • Contact BaxterDog Media if you need help onboarding a grade level or rescue partner kit.

For rescue partners

  • Use your organization email to sign in when access has been granted.
  • Browse assigned kits for adoption education, kindness activities, and family guides.
  • Share student and family materials from the resource folders when permitted by your organization.

How to open a Heyzine flipbook

  • From a resource page, choose View flipbook or Open flipbook.
  • Flipbooks open in the BaxterDog reader or in a new browser tab.
  • If a flipbook is not ready yet, you will see a short “being prepared” message instead of a broken link.

How to use Google Drive downloads

  • On a resource page, look for Downloads & materials.
  • Open resource folder, Teacher materials, or Student materials when your account has access.
  • You must be signed in with an entitled account — download links are not available to logged-out visitors.

How to request access

  • Go to Request Access from your Dashboard or the top menu.
  • Tell us your school or organization, your role, and which grade or kit you need.
  • Use your school email when possible — access is often approved by domain or organization.
  • After submitting, you will see a confirmation message while our team reviews your request.

Troubleshooting access

  • Confirm you are using the email your school or organization registered.
  • Try logging out and back in if you were recently approved.
  • Check that you opened the correct Library site (not a personal email account on another service).
  • If you still cannot see materials, submit Request Access with your school name and role.

Contact BaxterDog Media

  • For classroom support, contact your school administrator or BaxterDog liaison first.
  • For access issues, use Request Access in the Library with your school email.
  • For urgent launch help, reach out through your existing BaxterDog Media school or rescue contact.
